I have a savings challenge for us for the remainder of the year. If you had given up on saving and thought you would start over again next year, I’m saying let’s do it together this time, starting from July to December. It’s a 6-month savings challenge.
The goal is not to save large amounts of money, but to build the discipline of saving. This is a student-friendly savings plan. Savings work best when you have a goal you are saving towards, so set that goal for yourself. For me, I want to save this money for January 2027, because we know it’s hard 
, For you, it might be that you want to have money in December, which is very important lol. So set a goal, because if you save aimlessly, you will give up along the way when there is nothing you are working towards.
Do not save the money in your checking account, but in an account you do not use. For me, I will send it to my TymeBank account. Or you can open a Capitec savings account, either flexible or fixed on your Capitec app, which will gain interest as you save.
